"Récif gin is a nod to the coastal environment where it is distilled, referring to the many rocks lying just beneath the surface of the sea along the Gaspé coast. It came straight from the imagination of its creator, Joseph St-Denis Boulanger, master distiller at Distillerie des Marigots.
The original idea was to create a distinctive gin while respecting the characteristics of a traditional gin. It therefore features juniper berry, front and centre, along with notes of citrus, spices and roots.
Récif opens with aromas of dark honey, with a fragrant roundness and earthy, salty accents evolving into notes of citrus and wildflowers, then giving way to a long, spicy finish."
