"'Gin Bertrand' is the meeting of the modern druids of gin. It is the passionate marriage of the secrets of plants and old artisanal distilling methods.
First, there is the mystical explorer-distiller Baptiste Gissinger of Maison Livernois, who gathered and shared his precious plants from distant northern regions. Then, the Bouchards of Distillerie du Fjord, Jean-Philippe, Benoît and Serge, who brought the richness of their family past back to life by using grandfather Bertrand’s old still and adding a few pinches of production secrets, such as blueberry eau-de-vie, to produce this historic gin.
It is the meeting of gin enthusiasts who concocted a recipe to deliver an experience that is fascinating through the magic of the druids, memorable through this return to the family past, and unique through the taste and aromas of the potion.
Together, we developed a gin that we distilled on a base of our blueberry spirit, wild juniper, wild angelica, wild caraway and Labrador tea."
