With boreal tonic, it is best to use a woody / forested gin or an herbaceous gin. Boreal tonics bring an additional woody / forest flavor to the gin with flavors of spruce and juniper present in these tonics.

With aromatic tonic, it is better to use a very tasty juniper gin (richer and more robust). The aromatic tonics bring an additional flavor to the gin thanks to more spicy notes (ex: cardamom, ginger) but at the same time sweet (ex: vanilla).
