1 - Citrus tonic
Citrus tonic
With citrus tonic (ex: lemon, yuzu), it is better to use a sweeter gin (ex: sloe gin). The citrus tonics bring a more bitter touch and an additional freshness thanks to the citrus fruits in these tonics allowing to balance the sweeter notes present in the gin.
Recommended garnish: Lemon or grapefruit slice.
2 - Light tonic
Light tonic
With light tonic, it is better to use a more pronounced gin (ex: aged or juniper berry-based gin) but this tonic is suitable for any variety of gin. The light tonics bring the same traditional taste and the same bitterness as the classic tonics but they are lighter in calories thus leaving more room for the dominant flavors present in some gins.
Recommended garnish: Slice of grapefruit or orange.
3 - Classic tonic
Classic tonic
With classic tonic, it is better to use a drier gin (London dry gin) but this tonic is suitable for any variety of gin. The classic tonics are the most usual and they bring a nice bitterness that perfectly complements the taste of all gins.
Recommended garnish: Lemon, grapefruit or cucumber slice.

"Kepler Bord de mer was born in the middle of lockdown. Our distiller, sorely lacking sunshine, was struck by a sudden burst of creativity. With his little pocket still, he distilled and re-distilled fresh, sunny aromatics. From the depths of the sea emerged a gin that does great honour to our national strawberry and our local rhubarb. We add greenhouse cucumbers from the fine and ambitious company Toundra in Saguenay as well as wakame seaweed from our friend Nicolas, the accomplished diver from Gaspé who farms it, to create a one-of-a-kind product. Built on the self-sufficiency principles of the producers behind it, Bord de mer will leave you with a salty, well-balanced finish that makes it easy to work with in cocktails."
